Materials
The Pela Case is made of Flaxstic®, which is comprised of compostable bioplastic elastomer and flax straw materials. Our material has been tested to be safe and free of phthalates, BPA, cadmium and lead and is verified to meet child safety standards in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Our base material meets U.S. (ASTM D6400-04) and E.U. (EN 13432) standards for composting in an industrial composting facility and has a lower carbon footprint and lower greenhouse gas emissions than traditional plastic. It can also be left to compost in a home composting environment.

Love this case!
I have always used otter box phone cases which prove to protect your phone from breaking. I was on the hunt for a new case and wanted to find one that was in line with earth friendly values and Pela is it. Of course I was skeptical because I wasn’t sure how strong or rigid this case would be but when it showed up, I was so impressed. It’s soft but not too flexible so that it fits snuggly on my phone and doesn’t move. It’s beautiful and looks exactly as I had hoped. I have now had this case for a month and it has protected my phone and I have no complaints

I really love the Color and the design! It’s not overwhelming yet everyone takes positive notice of it. It’s quite thick around the edges which I like. Though I know that a friend of mine prefers the thinner cases. My phone has fallen down a few times already but everything is fine ☺️

I also really liked this one! Although the plant texture is more noticeable than in the Honeycomb one, it is still pretty because of the light purple color! And You get to explain that it is made from plants ;)
